Pavia is located in the north of Italy, 35 km south of Milan. It can be easily reached from Milan by train. All express trains leaving Milan ("Stazione Centrale") to Genoa take 25 minutes to reach Pavia. Both the Milan airports (Malpensa and Linate) are connected by bus to Milan ("Stazione Centrale"). Pavia can be reached by car through the Milan-Genoa motor way, or state way N. 35. A bus service connects Milan ("Piazza Castello") with Pavia ("Piazza della Stazione") in about 50 minutes.
The IMS lab is part of the "Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale e dell'Informazione" and is located at the "D Floor" of the main building of Faculty of Engineering at the "Polo Cravino" (Via Ferrata 1).

The nearest airports to Pavia are: Milano Linate and Milano Malpensa. From these airports, you usually reach Milano central railways station ("Stazione Centrale") by bus and then Pavia by train (click here for national train service: Ferrovie dello Stato) or bus.
Pavia is served by very frequent trains from Milan ("Stazione Centrale") and from Genoa (click here for national railways service: Ferrovie dello Stato).
If you travel by car from Milano or Genova you should take the A7 Highway ("Milano-Genova"); to get into Pavia from Milan you should take the Bereguardo (Pavia North) exit of the A7, from Genoa the Groppello Cairoli one (Pavia South).
